Why are there so few new posts? There are hundreds of people on here daily but really little to no new post.

a few theories. the main one is people join VT just to look at posts/see people's profiles. a lot of people post just long enough so they can pm people.

another reason is simply the people who are posting are posting in largely existing threads (though clearly new ones are being made everyday, mostly in the puberty sections, which again, is the one of the biggest reasons a lot of people come to this site

I know for me it depends when I come on VT as to how many threads have new posts in it or not. by new posts do you mean new posts in existing threads or actual new threads?

It also might be where where your looking or how your searching to. If your looking over the open forum, you may be missing out on the whole diary sections all together. Which is huge in VT. Although they do show up in the new posts search, if it's a thread that isn't real busy in the diary, it'll be pushed down by all the threads that are very active. So you might be missing out on topics in the diary sections and open up a whole new world to you here

Please don't post in threads that have been inactive for two months or more. :locked:

Also, with a site as old as this one, we're bound to have way more inactive users than active users.
