The original Dracula movie is totally kick. Yeah, the special effects are fakey but that is part of what makes it so cool & Bela Lugosi didn't speak any english when he made the movie. He memorized his lines without knowing what he was sayiing.

I once watched Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, 1921, maybe the first Dracula film ever. They couldn't obtain the rights of Bram Stoker's book, so they changed names and stuff, but it's still Stoker's story. But of course without sound.

Imo, the Nosferatu movie from 1921 is more morbid as the Bela-Lugosi-movie of 1931.

however, I'm more into the "Varney the Vampire or the Feast of Blood"-story, cause it's older than Dracula. And there's more action in it.

Ok, there's no movie, I guess ... but I found a comic from 2014. Even that story isn't similar to the original story from 1845 or 47 (Dracula from 1897), it's kinda cool anyway.

that's an awesome fun fact about him not knowing the original language. I have seen the movie before, not my favorite, but it was interesting and worth the watch

I have always liked Bela Lugosi, especially as Dracula.
