Counting On Me -Korn

This song, is an underrated masterpiece. That chorus is just beautifull. Such a shame it doesn't get the attention it deserves, doesn't even have it's own music video. This is officially one of the best songs, if not the best song that I have heard in a long time. Play loud for the best result.

I haven old stereo from the late 70s that's extremely powerful. I have two giant early 80s speakers hooked up to it along with a turntable. Playing this song... holy shit. Drum. Solo.

Ahh, I love vintage audio. I have a Panasonic cassette player/turn table/ FM tuner combo thing from the early 80s with the original speakers, they're only rated for 5 watts too.

I'm not sure if there are specific songs that give me the chills. But I've gotten chills listening to music plenty of times and it's awesome.

There's something about vynyl that just sounds more wholesome and real... I can't describe it. Anyways, I have a Technics Receiver hooked up to a Technics Turntable along with the two original early 80s Polk Audio speakers. I'm not sure what their power rating is, but my dad says they were top of the line when he bought them in his early 20s. The funny thing is that I have another stereo that's much more modern. (bought new in 2008) The funny thing is that it has two working cassette slots. I always wondered why they were included, because by 2008, cassettes were definitely a thing of the past. I rarely find them in cars made after 2004; and cars from 2004 have the same stereo as 1999 because it's the same generation. General Motors is well known for this... I guess it's different because we're talking about home audio, and not a shitty 04 Chevy Impala... haha Oh, one last thing. I got my newer stereo from Circuit City... Good times. :lol3:

I don't use my Panasonic system right now as there is some cracking in the soldering where the speaker terminals connect to the board. It is an easy fix, but I just haven't done it. It needs new tape belts too. The only other vintage audio I have is a set of Aiwa bookshelf speakers from the late 80s or early 90s. These aren't mine but its the same model as mine. I don't have the original system they would have came with, but I power them with an early 2000s JVC amp and they sound really good, decent amount of low end due to the 6.5 inch woofer on each, while still having good high end, as they should for having three tweeters each. Paid $5 for the pair at a thrift store in 2010.

And the speakers I took out of my 2007 Ford F250 were a joke, replaced them with two-way Infinity 6x8 speakers lol.

My Man - Eagles

True story written and sung by Bernie Leadon about his friend and fellow founding father of country rock, Gram Parsons shortly after his death. The lyrics are just so right and the're the exact reason why this song gives me the chills. "He'd sing for the people, and people would cry":

And the entire Gene Clark 'White Light' album. Gene overall was such an interesting and for me a relateable cat. On each song on the album, you can feel the melancholy in his voice. It' unreal.

Ford is notorious for putting really bad speakers in their cars unless you pay for a premium sound package. I know this because I have a Mazda 3 (Mazda and Ford are friends sort of so they share parts) Touring Edition with all the options and what not. Well I drove the same model, but it was a base and oh my god, the speakers were horrid.

Ok, here are three different pieces that are chilling to me:
https://youtu.be/iCEDfZgDPS8
This song is very strong and imposing. Always frantic.
https://youtu.be/8RFq7cOVDF0
This song is tragic and jarring. It's very much like its namesake.
https://youtu.be/tAc2KDNHEw4
This song is awe inspiring for a different reason. This song is so ancient, so old, it's incredible to think that people thousands of years ago were listening. It's even more incredible when you think of their lives and what they were like.

A strange pick for sure, but counting the nostalgia factor, this song does it for me every time.

I get sad and cry when Gandalf falls...and the music is so beautiful at the same time.
Actually there's lots of parts in the movies where what's happening and the music make me cry :(

Disturb's version of The Sound of Silence. They made it very dark.

And then there is their live version which was on Conan a few weeks ago. I was allowed to stay up to watch this when they did it. Amazing performance, and his voice is pretty awesome I think.

I can't tell why, but this song gives me a jolt of... exhausting energy? I can't quite describe it. It's... very powerful.
PUV6mStF8AY

This piece is 70 minutes long, but every second of it is pure bliss to me. It calms me down and helps me concentrate when i'm doing whenever and sometimes i feel that neat tingle on the back of my scalp and it makes me go all happy. :>
FfBP2UNcMX8

Then there's this one- it's got some backstory to it which can be found in the actual music video, but the video doesn't appeal to me at all- i much prefer hearing just the music. It's also supposed to have some deep subliminal message in it, but... well, idunno, it just gives me the happy chills when it goes all gold and light going everywhere and i love it.

The final movement of Gustav Holst's The Planets. I love the entire piece, so full of tempestuous passion, but it's when it glides into its final stage that a shiver goes through me.

Never having been in an actual church in my life, I am unjaded by Christian sacral music, which I find to be an amazing experience listening to. Handel is obviously awe inspiring in his passion, and this chorus is his peak of ecstasy.
