I've been looking into getting one of these recently.

After some thinking it over, I really like the NVIDIA Shield (http://www.amazon.com/NVIDIA-SHIELD-Remote/dp/B013HJ13V0/ref=sr_1_sc_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1459115738&sr=8-3-spell&keywords=Nvidia+shield) or the Amazon Fire TV.

I really like the shield because it is capable of quality gaming. The fire TV is too, but not as well as the shield.

I also definitely plan to use it as a versatile entertainment system that can adapt to my needs well and the shield, running Android TV and having access to apps like Kodi, seems to best fit that necessity.

Plus the google voice search on the shield seems way better than the fire tv's.

Thoughts?

I have a Roku box, which is pretty good.

Just quickly looking at the NVIDIA shield, that does look quite good: especially for gaming.

There was on the Amazon page this comparison:

which pretty much shows the specs of the NVIDIA defeats all the others.

It's only an extra $100, if you were to seriously use the gaming aspect of this I think it's worth it.

Thanks for the response. I didn't see that comparison chart so thanks for sharing it.

I really like it and it even looks good imo.
