This is an expansion of my "Top 10 Scary Movies" thread.
Not so many people are invested in the horror movie/psychological thriller scene in general, but who doesn't love a good comedy?? This list can include up to 15 films though. There are more comedies than horror movies, and it can be very difficult to choose (as I learned :D).
Share your list!

My List: (Note: Again, these are not listed from worst to best. Also, romantic comedies are acceptable, but nothing that is purely romance, i.e. "The Notebook". It has to be able to hold its weight as a comedy.)

1- Me, Myself, and Irene
2- The Heat
3- Hot Pursuit
4- Yes Man
5- Identity Thief
6- Spy
7- Horrible Bosses
8- Mr. and Mrs. Smith
9- Tower Heist
10- Red
11- Click
12- My Cousin Vinny
13- Rush Hour
14- Dark Shadows
15- Lethal Weapon (In my opinion it qualifies as an action comedy, any of them do. Your opinion may vary.)

There were quite a few good comedies in the 80s. And yes, I had the same issue with coming up with more than 15 films. I was going to make it a top 10 list but... Yeah. It didn't happen ;)

I didn't actually have my list in any particular order. I love Office Space though. One of my favorite parts is when Peter asks Lawrence what he thinks about the expression "case of the Mondays."

I forgot: Harold and Maude

an interesting one for sure. not one of my top favorites, but it certainly has hilarious moments and also some very touching ones as well, something a lot of comedies don't do. seen it before and I will end up watching it again for sure

me too. to be honest, I found the plot a bit gross. 19something guy in love with 79yo women ... also having sex together ... ewww, necrophilia, I thought, not my genre of porn. :D

then I found the novel and read the first paragraphs. then the whole novel in once sitting. so it was a must to see the movie. *g*

haha haven't read the book. yea, the whole relationship thing would prevent me from putting it in my top 15 haha. but she does do more good for him than anyone else probably ever did. plus it has Cat Stevens music.

totally unrelated there is a comedy called Rocket Man starring Harland Williams, hilarious movie.

Even the music of Cat Stevens wasn't my type of music, I usually listen to, that film changed it. It expanded my spectrum or so.
Ever took me movies like "The Graduate" to employ me closer to the music of the 1960s / 1970s.
Years ago, about one and a half, I had not even looked at me as old movies or music or listened.

Actually, movies like "The Graduate" convinced me to have a closer look on the music of the 1960s or 1970s. Ages ago, about one and a half yrs, I wouldn't even have touched those ancient stuff. :D

checked it out yet. seems interessting enought to put it on another top 15 list. maybe 15 comedy sciFi movies or such.

I would also set "Dark Star" on the list.

Having a philosophical conversation with a nuclear bomb to talk the bomb out of blowing itself is imo even pure comedy. Especially if it detonates at the end with the words "Let there be Light" ouups .. spoiler. sorry.

well Rocketman is def a comedy. I am not talking about the Martian which just came out. Rocketman was made in 1997 (so a year before I was born). it takes place in space, but it is def considered a comedy.

Dark Star sounds interesting though

Does anybody plan on watching "The Boss" (either in the theater or when it comes out?)???
It looks really good.
If a comedy has either Jason Bateman or Melissa McCarthy (or both!!!) in it, Sign. Me. Up :) :P :)
