I've been starting to think like In bipolar. It runs in my family so I wouldn't be the first person with it (My mother and both my sisters have it).
Lets start with the things that resemble manic symptoms (More like hypomanic, most of these symptoms are present throughout the entire thing):
-Go days (1-3) without sleep without tiring
-Intense paranoia
-Racing thoughts
-fast and loud speech
-Really over the top self image
-Do lots of work (Waaay more than normal but I usually get distracted and work on lots of different things)
-More ideas than normal (more than I can actually do)
-Symptoms usually last about 1-2 weeks

Now for some of the depressive parts:
-Lasts between 1 week and 6 months
-Sense of numbness (things seem grey and boring, no more enjoyment in life)
-oversleeping
-Self loathing
-Suicidal thoughts
-weight gain
-Self Mutilation (Kinda) (Not sure if it really counts, It usually comes out as a fit of rage where I Completely zone out and hit myself)
So what do you think I should do? Does it seem like I meet the criteria for bipolar? Thanks for any feedback

P.s: I also have anxiety issues and ADHD

idk ... see a doctor. That's what I do, for a lot less dramatic reasons such as you described it. (Just physical reasons in my case.)

The fact that you have a very close family history of it and you have quite well-known symptoms does make it seem as though you probably have it. Getting a diagnosis of bipolar takes a long time however because of how unbalanced and unpredictable your moods and mindset can be. It's taken me two and half years on a mental health service before I had the recognition of bipolar.

I have it too, I think. I would keep this thing to myself, as I don't like to let people in. Tell your family, since they have experience.
