View Full Version : How am I even supposed to get started?

College is looming on the horizon for me. Luckily I managed to get accepted into where I want to go. But I'm simply stuck right now.

Just how in the hell am I supposed to pay for everything?

I'm consistently told by my admissions counselor that I'll be fine so long as I do work study and light loans. But I don't even know how much I'll even owe in the first place!

Then there is this constant fear of "Oh my god what if i don't get into a job?"

Needless to say, I'm freaked about everything.

I'm always being told "do scholarships and your FAFSA!" The good news is, my FAFSA was done a month ago. But I haven't gotten any news on how much I'll earn.

My family will also NOT be able to contribute a single CENT towards college.

So essentially, I just need some kind of direction on where the heck to get started with scholarships and grants.

I have found websites which do offer some. However most seem to be random drawings which I will never ever get. Any tips for finding any that I can actually obtain?

I'm basically blind in going into all of this, and this probably reads like a muddled mess.

If someone could provide me with some kind of roadmap on what I should be doing right now it would calm me down a ton.

Fafsa is where you can apply for financial aid.

Fast webs is where you can find scholarships.
