So there's tons of musicians out there who are underrated/slept on. Who's on your list?

I gotta say Russ is fucking OP with his shit. He's got sick ass flow and sick ass rhymes with it, that actually mean something. Him along with Young M.A (a personal icon to me, seeing as she's from my area and is a woman that actually spits good stuff)

Hip hop: Aesop Rock, Eyedea, Illogic, Sage Francis, Kool Keith, Atmosphere, Saul Williams, Run The Jewels, Killer Mike.

I would count practically all modern rock bands, but here's some of the less mainstream ones:
Mars Volta, IAMDYNAMITE, Finger Eleven, Anarchy Club, The Stone Foxes, The Kooks, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Band of Skulls

I've been really liking Ceschi (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlI1u_VhaE8) after a musician I liked mentioned him in a podcast, really good abstract hip-hop. Also he plays folk-rap sometimes which is the best niche folk fusion genre since folktronica and folk-punk

I'd have to say AKA and Cassper , they're SA's homegrown artists but I'm surprised there not that big overseas, I know AKA finished a European tour or something .

South Africa's House is underrated, we have so many great talents such as Mi Casa, DJ Nuz, Heavy-K, who created the most awesome House tracks, I'm surprised at how little the world knows about our music...
