I find myself really worrying about stuff months away like how I will feel then. How do I calm down and make the present last?

Find something that you love to do and do it! That's sure to take your mind off it. Just remember, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that's why they call it the present!

day by day. what you do each day effects the future anyway, so really it's normal to think about the future. and since the future is what you like to think about, reroute your mind to day by day stuff and tell yourself it's related to the future (and it is). good luck!

Rather than worrying about the end goal, try shifting your focus to something beneficial that you can do now to improve your future, and take small baby steps towards goals. Short-term goals should be a main focus, but always keep a long term goal in mind. Just remember not to stress too much about a long-term goal until the time has come to do so.
