I do, usually twice or three times per week. I don't really have a favorite one, but I like front crawl the most.

I swim. For fun now, used to swim on the school team.
And any stroke. It doesn't matter. As long as I am in the water, moving... nothing else matters.

Recreational. I don't have a favorite stroke

I used to be a competitive swimmer but that was years ago. I don't really swim anymore but I did start up again last year. My favourite stroke is definitely front crawl, I'm really fast at doing that. I used to enjoy backstroke the most when I was younger though because I could relax and stare up at the sky as well as being relatively fast. Never got on well with breast stroke, I only do that when I'm swimming underwater really.

Recreational. My favourite stroke would be breast stroke or freestyle.

I do. Competitive for school. I prefer the butterfly or the backstroke.

Started swimming lessons 2/3 times a week with my cities triathlon club about 3 or 4 months ago. My favourite stroke would probably be crawl, my breaststroke is pretty quick though. But my favourite thing to do in the pool though would either be front crawl with a pullbuoy or swimming with fins but not for too long. Paddles are the worst, they're hard work when you've got no arm muscles - next aim is to build up muscle to improve speed because my technique is decent enough.

I am currently a junior lifeguard, so I guess its recreational. And as far as my favorite stroke goes i would have to say butterfly.

I used to do it competitively, but no longer, it was too high stress and I found that I never actually had fun doing it, although I was great at it :cool:

I do it recreationally now and I find it much more fun and relaxing. My favourite is breaststroke. There's just something about it that I think is really... enigmatic? Maybe I'm just reading into it too much.

I've been a competitive swimmer for about 5 years now, and my favorite stroke would be free, but I am good at Butterfly, and I'm a box trunk type of guy

Let's please stick to the original intent of the thread. Off- topic posts have been deleted.

Also - I don't swim that often (maybe a few times a year). I'm not that good at any type of particular swimming stroke, but I do think it's fun.

Swimming is one of my stronger points sports wise, but I'd still say recreational, and breaststroke c:

My older bro is on a swim team and goes to meets. I like swimming but I don't like competition. Takes the fun out for me.

does anyone else get like a copper taste in their mouth if they swim too hard or too long? I like the recreational fun swim!

I never have, but I've heard some of my team mates say they have. Must be the chlorine or something.

I swim competitively, and butterfly is the only stroke worth a damn ;) I love the feeling of being immersed in water.

I love swimming, but only do it recreationally. In fact I'm planning on swimming in an hour! Also front crawl/free style is my fav stroke, I can do it for hours and its the fastest stroke. I love swimming for the fact that you are almost wearing nothing (just a swimsuit), no shoes to fall off, and overheating is not an issue. Plus getting to bare my chest is always fun!
