I don't have ADHD, but I do have trouble sleeping sometimes. Try drinking some herbal tea to calm yourself down before bedtime. If you have too much energy before you go to bed, you could try exercising or running on a treadmill or something physical to use up that energy. Sometimes when I have trouble sleeping, I'll work out for 30 - 60 minutes, so when I go to bed I fall asleep right away from exhaustion.

Welcome to VT! If you're taking medication for your ADHD, that can cause the sleeplessness, as it's a stimulant. Stimulants can keep you awake at nite.
Tell your doctor so he can adjust the dose or the time you take it.

First of all, what type of medication are you on? I was on Ritilin , which is medicine for my ADHD, and like 6 years ago I was on a sleeping pill. The doctors decided that I didn't need the sleeping pill like 4 years ago, because they took me off the Ritilin, and instead put me on Concerta.
These past few years, the Concerta hasnt really kept me up, and usually what helps me sleep is reading a book, or staying the computer until it makes you seem sleepy.

Are you talking about insomnia? Oh I have insomnia most nights too. I actually find that counting sheep helps. I know it sounds preschoolish but it does. I also try to think lightly about tomorrow's events and process. I breathe deep and relax all of my muscles and repeat that however i feel until I am sleeping. Good luck!
