My memory is horrible and so are my nerves. I get pissed at any small thing, especially when someone insults me. I sometimes leave home, and forgot if i locked the door. Even while riding a bus, i forget what bus am i riding. Its just my short term memory, I still got my long term memory. I cant concentrate while learning languages or mathemathics. (Constantly playing with my pen, thinking about fun things.) If i do sit down to do my homework, its usually late in the night, or never. I do it a bit slow, and usually use an aid to do it (Scientic Calculator, Translator, Map). When i was a bit younger, i acted silly or dumb in public (Running around, touching things, making immature jokes), but this left. I've wandered for the past 5 years, what's wrong with me? I read about ADHD, and could identify myself with many of the symptoms. I havent also seen a psychiatrist in 7 years, and really dont know if to go get it checked out.

Bad memory is nothing to do with ADHD. I think one of the main diagnosis criteria is hyperactivity and impulsiveness. You haven't mentioned either. You could have a type of ADHD which the main symptom is inattentiveness. But from what you've said, you're not inattentive, you just forget. I wouldn't be too worried about what you were like when you were younger if it has now passed. Maybe you should go to the doctor to get your memory checked out, loss of memory can signal certain things which may bring up alarm bells. Best of luck

You are right. This is not ADHD. It is teachers that have counselor talk to parents about ADHD. I think teachers they see how a person is bad in subjekts then report it to them.

It could be minor brain damage from an injury, of which having a short temper is consistent. Even a mild concussion may have devastating effects on the brain.
