Post pictures of your delectable duct tape wallets! Don't have one? Make it! (http://www.craftynest.com/2010/07/camp-craft-duct-tape-wallets/)

Here's mine:

Back in my day, we made our duct tape wallets out of the plain ol' duct tape we found with our dad's tools in the garage! We had to be imaginative about our wallets, decorate them ourselves with stickers and other means!

Spoiled kids! *hacking cough*

I remember when I went to a craft store and saw coloured duct tape and right about pissed my pants. "Is that one is plaid? Have I been unconscious for ten years?"

Aparently it's been around for a while but I don't remember ever seeing every pattern and colour under the sun sold in big bins at every craft/office supplies/department store. :P Is that a more recent trend?

I guess, Duck brand tape has all sorts of colors and patterns and they are at craft stores.

Coincidence! There was an American programme on TV here the other night. It's about a family who lived in a crappy house, and this guy and his mates demolish it and build them a new one. Well, the boy of the family makes everything from duck tape. And when they build the new house, they made lots of things in his bedroom from duck tape. It seems to be a very versatile thing!!

what a coincidence! my little brother has to do this project for GOAL (group for talented kids...) and he decided to do a "business" with duct tape! my mom has already made several wallets, also flowers, bowties were made as well.

the wallets aren't like quite like yours, though, doesn't have the clear plastic thing, just pockets for credit cards and a pocket for money

Mine didn't have the clear plastic when I got it, but I added it later. That GOAL thing sounds pretty fun :)

In elementary school, I was like one of the first kids that had one of these. And some other kids saw it during lunch one day, and asked me to make them one. I felt like a boss.

My friend gave me a bouquet of duct tape flowers as a present once, I really liked it because they last forever! They're cute. :)

And while we're on the subject of duct tape, do NOT wear a duct tape dress if you are in a situation where you're going to be sweating. I made/wore one to an ABC (Anything but clothes) party and it was awful I felt like I was dying because that stuff does not breathe at all.

Ha, they're cool man. In elementary I was always absent the day we made them so :P I shall use your art forum post as a substitute for the fun.

I was actually looking into this a few months ago when I covered a catapult for a school project with duct tape. I'll probably make one now, and post it.
