just outa curiosity why is it called virtual kid when in the rules says 13-19

Not to sound bitter, but how is this superior to VT? Even the name sounds similar.

well you can be a Flinstones Kid even if your 19 so whats the difference?

Sam Alexander, creator of the GovTeen network called it VirtualKid. In 2000, the work "kid" in the name caused some controversy so it was gonna be changed to VirtualTeen because of COPPA, but the .com thing was already taken :rolleyes: so they made it GovTeen for Go Virtual Teen!

So really it's just something Sam called it until an organization for protecting children online didn't like it.

Well actually it's not. Although, it was before VT and was the first site of the GovTeen network so that's why it's so special. VK evolved into GovTeen 2 (VK was also called GT 1), and then that's where our site founder signed up and decided to start this site! :D

Remember that VK was shut down and this is just a duplicate of that same site.

It's hard to be supperior to a site that's been open for 3 years when your site has only been opened a few days. :P
