Should he have been fired?

I have mixed opinions on the matter... I'm not saying what he said was right, but there is a HUGE double standard going on right now...

He says something bad about a black woman and he is fiercely criticized...but look at all the rappers who talk about women being whores and bitches and sluts and... are there people lining up to protest against them?

Either way, this didn't make racial relations in the U.S. any better.

I think the whole thing was blown completely out of proportion. It wasn't right of him to say that and he should know comments like that will offend the black community greatly especially with him being white.

It's just ridiculous how those few words grew into such a frenzy. He apologized it's time to move on.

I actually don't think he should have been fired. I think Al sharpton and Jesse Jackson took this whole thing and made it bigger than it was. What he said was wrong, noone is saying otherwise but he does have freedom of speech.

it pisses me off that it took a situation like this for al and jesse to target rappers, which I personally think was because media attention started to focus on them a little bit.

Also The only reason why Imus was fired in my opinion was because sponsors started to pull out of his show and remember radio is a business....so if noone was going to sponsor him, CBS and NBC loses money. Remember they suspended him 1st.

Thirdly, yes, I have received warnings due to trolling. I do not agree with them very much, but, I do not think it's fair that you are let off the hook, when I wasn't. that would be almost 2.5 years, which rounds to 3. i just thought that instead of registering on the last day of 05, to make yourself look better than others, that you would register in the middle of the year like most people.

so, yes, technically you COULD be right (because i dont even believe you that you have been here for 2 years because you have no proof of it), but, blaming me for a common mistake is just a low attempt on your part.
